My IT experiences

· SAP R/3 implementation (MM Module: more of functional) at Telco

· Up gradation to SAP 4.6, earlier involved in implementation of SAP 3.1H
· Implementation of VCM (a B2B tool) at Telco's Vendor End for E-Procurement
· Team member in E-Procurement for Telco, through CBE (Competitive Bidding Event) with Freemarkets.com
· MRP run & BOM data maintenance with PDM group

PROJECT PROFILE:

A) SAP R/3 PROJECTS

Project: Up gradation to SAP 4.6 C of MM Module
Duration: Jan 2003 to Aug 2003:
The project was to upgrade from 3.1H to 4.6C version.
This project was basically consisting of business process reengineering & process standardization. In SAP 3.1H we have different server all over the country but now we are single server based at Thane, Mumbai with backup at Hyderabad. We had different clients all over the country now we are single client for all production units.
My Role: It was to coordinate with Pune & Lacknow units for process standardization. We prepared process flow charts & mapped in system. I was also involved in GAP analysis & developing some non-standard features from functional side.

Project: Implementation Experience of PP module (Project running live)
ROLE: I am working as a consultant & providing support to the Production persons in manufacturing execution related issues from MATERIALS Side. I am also responsible for the WIP & Reprocessing List & subsequently BOM data correction & for back flushing of production Items. I am instrumental in Clearing of Reprocessing list, Using pull list, maintaining desired Inventory Level. Other than that I am very much involve in the area of schedule generation for bought-out component, which is still in trial stage.


Project: Implementation Experience of Material Module (Project Running Live)
Duration: Jan 1999 to July 2001:

The project was to implement the MM module replacing the legacy System in Telco Jamshedpur as first phase of SAP R/3 implementation.

ROLE: I was involved in analysis, designing & preparation of Master Data for the MM Module of SAP R/3.I was also instrumental in customization & Justification of various requirement of functional side for the same. I was also responsible for User Access Profile creation, preparing training documents and imparting training to Users, Master Data preparation and loading. Individual responsibility of Configuration, Data loading and implementation related to) Material Management, Purchase order generation, Creation of Material Group, Fixing of lot sizes, Fixing of inventory at part level, Inventory take-on and management.


B) WEB BASED PROJECTS

#1. Value Chain Management (a B 2 B Tool)

Client : Telco
Tool : Java 2. Java Script, CGI and HTML
RDBMS : Oracle 8.0.4, Oracle Web server 3.0
Role : Responsible for Analysis, Design.
Status : Project running live & going to be change in JAVA for Database
Connectivity
Project Details:

A B 2 B tool for vendors of Telco, Jamshedpur. The vendors can see their schedule, production program, their invoice status & other details from their point, that is through Internet. They were provided with the access using Oracle Web server. The front end was designed using HTML; DHTML & JavaScript and middle tier was made of PL/SQL cartridge.


Key Responsibility: Generation & Distribution of Monthly Schedule for Auto Materials through Macro programming during the Transition Period i.e., from Legacy to SAP, unless MRP become live.


Schedule generation for project Models using MS Office
Maintaining Oracle Data Base & Forms
Creating various special reports using SQU*PLUS

C) FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING

Duration : July 1996 to Dec 1997
Role : Leader & Co Leader

· I was involve in various functional projects of Line Balancing, Supply chain management, Material handling, value Engineering, Cost reduction, Quality improvement, etc
· In this period I worked with the Sr. consultants of M/s Singijutsu Consultants, Japan and learned many world practices of Manufacturing & Materials Management.
